The Gravel Underbed is used with water softeners, iron filters, carbon filters, and many other water treatment systems.
Intended for proper water distribution, and water flow. It helps prevent channeling and helps to fluff the media bed during a regeneration.
This gravel is washed and cleaned to prevent sediment from entering the filtration equipment. Never use dirty or unwashed gravel.
